ROYAL OAK — A juvenile was killed in a forklift accident in Royal Oak Friday morning, police said.

The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the accident occurred on private property and was fatal. Police are continuing to investigate the incident. 

No further information could be shared due to the incident involving a juvenile, according to the sheriff’s office.

Clarification: An earlier version of this story stated that the accident was industrial in nature. Further police investigation revealed the accident occurred on private property. Maryland Occupational Health and Safety is not investigating.
